Wake up Call

A long, but very enjoyable day. Started out at dawn with a look for summer visitors down a frosty Burbage Brook. Didn't see anything new, but this wren was singing deafeningly from the heather. After some breakfast at Grindleford Caff, I met up with the Fungi Group. The day's most exciting find was Bog Beacon, one of those I've often seen in books but never in real life. we also found more slime mould.
