i want a birthday cake.

it's not last year's recipe, it's a marmalade gingerbread from claire macdonald (the scotsman magazine has its uses!). and very nice it was too.

had a decent birthday (esp when compared with last year's crapness). bit of a dearth of cards tho, it seems many of my friends have forgotten how to write and lick stamps... so cheers to dana and bruce (and my mother) for cards (and gifts!) and cheers to nick for a great gift. semi-cheers to NB for coffee and cake and company (i take off points for no card, i'm mean like that). and not to be churlish, ta for the texts and facebook messages too.
