Bump in the night
At some point during the middle of the night, Nikki and I were startled by a giant crashing sound. We both jumped from our bed and raced through to check on the wee man.
Thinking someone was trying to break in, I raced for the front of the house while Nikki leapt to the cot, thinking he'd fallen out.
Thankfully it was nothing nearly as sinister or disturbing - a shelf had broken off our kitchen wall causing the almighty kerfuffle. A kerfuffle in which the wee man slept right through (why do we tiptoe around the house at night?).
My last day with the wee man for about 10 days and we started off in the usual fashion, a swim at the commonwealth pool. Happy Ears was cancelled due to the Easter holidays, so he was treated to an extra long swim instead. Usually he starts to tire after about half an hour but he was in top form today, standing and jumping (well, walking really) into the pool from the edge.
After the wee man's nap we headed off to Hopetoun Garden Centre while Nikki slaved away, weeding. We only bought a bit of mulch to keep the edges tidy as we'll be spending so much of the summer away this year.
Judging by the wee man's rapid developments over the last few days, I'm half expecting him to take his first steps while I'm away with work. Don't rush son.
