Before the Transformation-A New Project

I met with clients for a new tropical landscape project today on Anna Maria.
It is always important to walk the yard and discuss the goals and likes and dislikes with clients before coming up with a landscape design that will wow and delight them. This couple have owned this house for some time and are now installing a pool in the back with areas for entertaining and re-doing the front yard to show off the house to the best advantage. They have some mature plantings, mostly palms that will or have been moved. Much has been taken out and some more will be taken out and re-worked. It is always a challenge to interpret a clients wishes and work with their unique light conditions and landscaping possibilities. I do Florida Friendly landscaping so we are expanding the planting beds a little more to have less turf, and using plants that will work for their coastal location.
