Today's action: Housefire caused by mariuana

This afternoon the services were called to a housefire. In those cases its always a matter of waiting for more news. Is it a small fire in a kitchen, that can be dealt with by putting a cover over a pan on the stove, or will it be more than that. This time it was soon clear that it was bigger. Reports came in that the entire street was filled with smoke. So we went to the scene with three reporters. I was the one ending up at the back of the house and that's where the fire was, in a second floor bedroom.

Firefighters entered the house through the front door and started battling the flames. To allow the smoke to leave the house the window needed to be opened. The best way to reach it was by ladder, from the back garden.

Later in the room several hundred mariuana plants were discovered. There still are people that think they can make some easy money by involving themselves with this illegal trade. The fact that they endanger themselves and their neighbours, because there is a massive danger of fire breaking out, is something they don't worry about at all. Fortunately today nobody got hurt.
