Blue skies .....

.... And a blue mosque .. In Istanbul where we are having a sort break. The mosque is a very special place - astonishing in scale and wonderful in decoration. It has been a highlight.

As well as a short cruise up the Bosphorous, another highlight were the gardens around the palace which has some glorious displays of tulips and other spring bulbs. Tulips were introduced by one of the sultans who strapped candles to the back of tortoises so that he could appreciate his tulips at night.

Maybe I could find a role for Corriedog as an illuminator of garden flowers. We could make her bark at the same time so that we could have our own son et lumiere show. Worth working on that when I get home.
