Snake head

Snake's head fritillary is one of our favourite flowers. I first came across it through the work of Charles Rennie MacIntosh and I like the notion of such a small wild flower influencing a major figure of art/architecture.

I planted some bulbs into the the earth (spikes emerging) and also into a pot (foliage is there ...) so I yielded to temptation at the garden centre. They must make a fortune out of impatience!
