To me, this is what tulips do. They look lovely in a shy kind of way as they begin to develop, then they get a bit more confident and luscious as they grow and after a bit more time they are in their full, round glory.

Too soon they begin to drop their petals but at the same time gather their strength for a last hurrah. Like I saw here as I glanced over next door's garden wall.

I spent much of yesterday choosing images from my massive archive of protest photography to enlarged and exhibited at DandiFest! It took longer than I expected and I had to stop several times as the images were beginning to blur into each other. Finally I had my selection of 24 images. And I slept on it. Looked at them again this morning. Then reflected on my choice. And made a couple of changes this evening. I now have the final selection which will go to print on Thursday.
