Hello, sunshine!

The amaryllis flowered back in February and when those flowers dropped I thought that it had finished for this year, but it has put up a fresh spike that has now produced five spectacular new flowers that are swaying gently in our glorious April sunshine. No leaves, just flowers! Everything is burgeoning just now, so maybe the amaryllis just wanted to get in on the act – after all, it does have some impressive blooms to show off with!
