Chocolate, Steam and Wind

Another trip over the Pennines to Ramsbottom where the 2014 Chocolate Festival is being held this weekend. Some overindulging, and another trip to the station to see the two steam trains running on the East Lancs Railway.

On the way back (via Hebden Bridge) I managed to blip the Singing, Ringing Tree

Its a 3-metre-tall, wind-powered musical sculpture made of galvanized steel pipes standing on the Pennine hillside above Burnley. It was freezing cold and blowing a gale, the wind on Crown Point producing a "melodious" hum covering several octaves and is said to be simultaneously discordant and melancholy.

Completed in 2006, the tree was designed by Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu.
