Chocolate everywhere!
We got up early this morning and headed down to breakfast as we had booked tickets for today's main event.
We spent the day at Cadbury World. We were handed a couple of bars each as we entered the tour. We took our time wandering round this chocoholic's dream being given freebies along the way.
My favourite part of the tour was the bit where one can watch them decorating bespoke items. One lady was decorating chocolate stilettos and another was creating the chocolate 'bean' people. Of course it was also my favourite part because we were each given a 'shot' of melted chocolate with 2 toppings of our choice. Darren and I both had mini marshmallows and chocolate popping candy, and Oliver had marshmallows and jelly babies.
Once we had hit the chocolate shop, we headed out to the village of Bourneville - named after the Bourne brook that runs through the purpose built village and ville after the then vogue of naming things in a French style.
In the centre of the village is the Rest House now housing a fantastic craft shop, where I personally could have quite happily gone mad!
Once back at the hotel, we were again treated so well by all the staff and met the manager who was also such a great chap and bent the rules for us with our meal before falling into bed totally shattered.
The chocolate above, less a bar Oliver ate are the freebies!
