Cousins

These are my eldest and youngest granddaughters!

They are wearing Liverpool tops in remembrance of the 96 fans who died at Hillsborough 25 years ago.

My husband and eldest son were there and if it hadn't been for Ro saying it was too crowded behind the goal they might have been among the 96!  They stayed at the back of that fateful pen.

We were at home waiting for news - it was on TV.  In those days there were no mobile phones with their instant news and it was thanks to some of the people living near the stadium who opened their doors to the fans and let them use their phones that we found out they were safe.   All these years later I would like to thank those people!
