Fred Dibnah was a very well known personality in Bolton. He had no fear of heights! A steeple jack by trade he became especially famous for his chimney felling-here we are talking about those very tall factory chimneys a few of which can still be seen in many northern towns.  When they come down in one go it is really spectacular!  The trick is to make it fall where you want!
