No Day But Today

We arrive home after a lovely holiday week and this is waiting, another birthday present from my GF, from Belle.

The necklace made me cry. The engraving is No Day But Today and Forget Regret, quotes from the musical Rent.

Belle introduced me to Rent and I feel in love with the music. The first surprise present for Belle was tickets to see Rent in Southhampton, it was such a wonderful show and evening but nothing will beat the look on my love's face when I revealed what we would be doing.

Rent is one of the most powerful pieces of theatre I have seen and these quotes are so important to me.

Because of my experiences my life has been filled with regrets and I am constantly worrying about the future, about what might go wrong. When I watch Rent and see the characters of Angel and Collins squeezing every moment they can out of life it inspires me. Singing loudly the lyrics 'No Day But Today' and 'Forget Regret' inspires me.

My Belle inspires me too. She helps me see that the bad of the past cannot touch me anymore and that I need to let go of the destructive thoughts. She has shown me a future that I am looking forward to experiencing; but in order for that to unfold I have to stop worrying about the possibility that it might not.

I want to hold tight onto No Day But Today. To live today and each day with as much happiness and joy as possible and fill it with love and laughter.
