Another trip up Grey's monument, this time no fog!

The recent public openings of Grey's monument were so popular that they opened again today so I got to take another trip to the top, this time in clear weather (see my last photo taken in the thick fog!) and with my husband!

Without the fog this time, I could see pretty far. In this photo, to the left you can see the millennium bridge crossing over the Tyne to reach the Baltic gallery in Gateshead, Grey street is straight ahead, then to the right Newcastle Cathedral and directly in front of me the central arcade. Gateshead is in the background and you can see the bright blue metro bridge crossing it in the right of the photo.
