Dog Training and DVDs

Helle and I met this morning to train dogs. We asked the instructor in the local dog school, if we could train in the opposite end of her training field whilst she had her classes and she said yes, which gave us a chance to train with lots of distractions very similar to what we would experience at a dog show.

We need show-like training otherwise we can't expect the dogs to cope with the busy environments that they have to perform in at demonstrations and competitons.

All dogs did really well and we had some great sessions.

This is Hero and I working on the start to our new routine. It is a very difficult start with some complicated moves, so we still have a lot of work ahead of us, before we can perform this to the music.

After our training, we took the dogs for a lovely walk in the woods and then we went home to my place and had late lunch/early dinner and watched DVD movies the rest of the day. Ahhhhh - a super day with my best friend and our 6 dogs.
