River Balvag, Strathyre

The stretch of the Rob Roy Way from Strathyre to Kingshouse passes through what has been fairly thick forest but is now on a very muddy forest road, the result of much harvesting traffic. I had intended walking to Balquidder and then return to Strathyre by road but found the Rob Roy Way diversion path and this provided a lovely walk back to Strathyre along the banks of the meandering River Balvag. The river has deep pools and is lined in places by some fine trees. The Rob Roy Way would be better following this as its normal route I feel as the forest route was not particularly interesting.
