Building Blocks.
Trip up to Stracathro today. What a place. A group of prefabricated buildings that look as though they were erected in the 1960's.
At the moment it seems to function to keep the Tayside waiting lists for a scan down. Not surprisingly there weren't many people there. It's in the middle of absolutely nowhere and very difficult to access if you don't have a car.
Wouldn't be surprised to find that it was retained as it was the only medical facility between Aberdeen and Dundee, but it doesn't even have an A&E facility - surely the one thing you would want to keep in an acute response unit?
Also reassuring to know that when the new psychiatric unit (to replace Sunnyside Royal) is to be built here. Closest thing to community here is the truck stop on the dual carriageway to Aberdeen. I'm sure the patients will love it!
Anyway, moan over. Took this on our way out of the hospital. Miserable light for most of the day so had a play in Photoshop.
