Winter...

Tree buying was a success yesterday. There's this place near Coupar Angus where we can go and walk round and pick the one we want. You arrive at the estate in your car and drive round to the farm where you "honk for John" as the sign says. John takes you to the trees in a walled garden and he cuts the one you want down for you. We chose one with pine cones that had been half eaten by red squirrels. (Apparently they visit the garden every morning).

Was a very frosty morning though. Gorgeous to see the tree with frost on it but the car was soaked by the time we got it home. I was covered in mud and resin too. Still, the cones made it all worth while.

Out for a walk this morning. First chance to try out the lensbaby properly. Was fun but it takes much longer that an automatic lens and my glasses kept steaming up. I think the man was getting a bit fed up with me by the end. I'm beginning to get the hang of the whole manual thing, but it was a slow process. Sorry!

Anyway, this is a shot that the man spotted. My guess is that it'll look better in big...
