Bones

"So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone." Ezekiel 37:7

Today's picture is all of the left over bones from our family lunch. We bought some Cajun chicken wings from our local butcher which were very tasty!! There were even a few left over to take to Jeremy and Clare's in the evening.

This picture gives me a good opportunity to talk about these verses in Ezekiel about the dry bones, I am sure you have heard it. Ezekiel was led to a valley that was full of bones, he was instructed to prophesy to the bones and they came together as the verse above says, then flesh appeared on them, then he prophesied to the wind to bring breath to these bodies, which is what happened and all of the bones became humans, a vast army is the description in the Bible. This must have been an incredible sound and sight. I also like the Chris Tomlin song about this. When we came to Bridgwater this song was new to us, we had just got Chris Tomlin's new album. It was one thing that stood out to us about the Church we went to on the first time. They sang a song about dry bones with the line "These dry bones will live again, their nothing without You, nothing without You." This spoke to us, we were looking for a Church that was Alive an on fire for God, and this is what we could see, apart from the name of the church being Alive!!
