Weather saves the day. . . .

My plan to spend the next two days cycling to York was thwarted when I peeked out of the shutters this morning and saw the rain landing on the driveway. If the truth be told my heart wasn't in it anyway and the rain was just the excuse I needed!

So nothing else for it but to do 'manly stuff' like chopping wood to keep the fires burning during the winter days ahead. There is something deeply satisfying about sitting in front of a fire, when you have collected the fuel yourself and that's what I am doing at the moment.

So, I need an alternative plan for tomorrow.

Any suggestions my friends?
