It's My Baby's Birthday Today

Two years ago today, Lola Malu was born in a blue, plastic kiddie pool. She was part of a litter of nine brown puppies. Her mom was pure chocolate lab, and her dad (who roamed over from way across the fields) is a German Short-Haired pointer. The two of them produced a very handsome litter of pups.

Though she would've only been about six years old today, Lola's mom is gone - hit by a car a few months ago. Lola is her spitting image, except for a creamy white patch in the middle of her chest, and some speckly spots on her front paw.

I don't mean to brag, but I do believe Lola Malu may possibly be a perfect dog! She is sweet, considerate, intuitive, loving, playful, and a quick learner. For her birthday today, we took her with us to visit the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. . She enjoyed poking her head out the window and taking in all the smells wafting across her nose at top speed. Here she is with one of the lovely tulips from a bouquet purchased today.
