Go Dog, Go!!!
Most of you are acquainted with Lola Malu, at left, my wonderful Chocolate Lab/Pointer mix. But here, making her blipfoto debut, is the lovely, curly mop topped Frances, (aka, Francie Pants, or Frannie Frankenheimer). She is a darling little labradoodle pup and was born in Bellingham on February 1, 2014. Here you see Lola and Frances meeting each other for the very first time.
Frannie's mom is my friend MaryAnn, and over the years we have seen each other's dogs come and go. Good dogs, every last one of them. Dogs who have made us better humans for knowing them. Lola and Frances are the new generation.
Lola is the first "big dog" that Frances has ever met. After some initial hesitation, Frannie lost most of her reservations and delighted us with her puppy romping and stick fetching finesse. Lola, meanwhile took the opportunity to jump headlong into a nearby pond. When she emerged, soaking wet, she ran at top speed in big circles all around us. Frances was sitting safely beside MaryAnn's legs and we could tell that she was very impressed, and quite in awe of all the cool things this "big dog" could do!
This was a fun play date, and as Francy Pants gets a little bigger and faster, I'm certain that she and Lola Malu will continue to enjoy occasional get-togethers in the park.
