20kg of onions to be chopped

It didn't take too long, about 2 hours tops. We, the parish, are holding a sausage sizzle outside one of the busiest hardware super stores in town. All the funds go to a homeless mens shelter which is a worthwhile cause, I reckon.
The store has it all organised. You book your sizzle day at least 8 months in advance, they provide the equipment and strict instructions regarding health& safety, quantities required, and opening hours. In return, some serious money can be made in a day. Usually the scouts have a tough time getting volunteers, but perhaps because it is a novelty, we have loads of helpers from church tomorrow.
So I peeled and (facilitated with my machine) chopped onions. From 20kg, I only got about 18kg to cook.
But the smell, ugh the smell! They are staying outside tonight!
