Partially frozen pond

Another cold, but beautiful day. Roger and I walked this afternoon at Sharon Woods. Although we have had some pretty cold weather this week, I was surprised it had been cold enough for long enough for the pond to be partially frozen over. The geese on the far side started swimming toward us - I guess hoping we had something for them - but gave up when they reached the ice!
