The Best....

I had the best day with my best boy today. I have got total love bombs for him right now.

I took today off to hang out with him & told him we could do anything he wanted today - it was up to him. He decided he wanted to go swimming and play Mario. How did I get such a low maintenance kid?

So - that's what we did. A good walk along the road to our nearest pool, followed by a salty bowl of chips (is it just me who craves chips after swimming?) and a walk home for cake and Mario. His game time is so strictly controlled in normal circumstances that we both felt slightly giddy at the idea of playing it for ages - for different reasons obviously.

In the end, we got to the VERY LAST LEVEL of the whole game and neither of us could take the stress anymore, so we ran about the garden with sticks for a bit (him) and dug a big hole for a tree to go into (me) before the other 2 came home and normal life resumed.

Before he went to bed Arlo said "thanks for a love day, Mummy. Your hoodie smells amazing". True love, that is!

I totally, absolutely & completely LOVE the school holidays. I'm quite sad tomorrow is the last day - another week would have been brilliant.
