party at the farm

today was Madelyn's 2nd birthday party at manor farm, me and the kiddies have been looking forward to this for ages and typically im ill. mum and dad are on standby today to take the babies as i really don't want them to miss out. after a shower i did feel a bit better so me and mum took them, and by this i mean i will drive us there and she can run around after them :)

when we got to the farm all the kiddies got to play on a lovely park while we waited for the birthday girl to arrive. we then headed off to the 'chat room' or petting centre. all the kiddies sat around the sides on the room and they brought out all different small animals to stroke (or in 1/2/3 year cases poke and prod) caleb was having none of it, which i don't blame him i didn't fancy touching a rat, an overly hairy guinea pig and a rooster!! erin on the other hand LOVED it. she had prime seat right next to the birthday girl so she got first strokes on everything that came out :)

Next was duck feeding time. Which didn't quite keep the attention span of 1, 2 and 3 year olds for that long until they were roaming the farm.
All aboard the milk float next for a ride around the whole farm. Mum went with my babies as my back wasn't up to it at all.

the last stop was the play barn, a big pirate ship, a knights hide out, small kiddy area, ball area, and trike circuit. both babies and all the kids loved it, i loved watching mum trying to split her self in two with mine going in separate directions. it's a strange ability you get when you have two young kids that you can see both of them all the time or at least know the area they are. id see her look at me and could instantly tell her where they are from a seated position, it's a pure skill :)

we all moved into the party room for food and all the kiddies dug in. a drop of ice cream and then some birthday singing we were all done. and it couldnt of been better timing on my behalf as id got sick and really just wanted to get back. but there was no way i was rushing my babies so we took a walk through the barn on the way back to the car to see all the other big animals.

the babies are having a sleep over at mums tonight its been planned for ages now and the timing was amazing. so the plan was to drop them off now and take the stuff back later. but the whole farm had wiped me out so i went in with them for a bit.......2 hours later when i woke up on my mums sofa dad had to drive me home wow i have never felt this ill before but just glad they had a good day.

with me straight to bed mark got a very lonely saturday night :(
