Grand opening(s)

This morning saw the completion and erection of my bee hotel. Everyone should be buying or making something like this for their gardens to help out the many species of solitary bees that are in decline in this country. These bees are harmless and not aggressive. They help to control harmful insect pests and are important pollinators for garden flowers. This fine hotel was knocked together in about an hour from some left-over pieces of wood and old garden canes. I'll let you know how keen the bees are to use it.
