Cupola envy

This morning I went with the DGMA Women's Group for a tour around the inside of Moat Brae, the house where JMBarrie played as a boy, and was inspired to write "Peter Pan".
You can see the outside from my last visit
The interior was a ruin until restoration began a few years ago. The architect, Walter Newall, planned the house to perfection (in my view). The rooms are beautifully proportioned and the frontage symmetrical. There are large windows and two places where the light comes in from above - this Cupola and a skylight above the staircase. Around the Cupola, the curved doors to the upstairs rooms are arranged in a circle.
Everything is just as it should be.
For what it might become, seehere
