Terrier 32678 approaching Cranbrook Road

The third appearance of 32678 in the last 7 or 8 days. Here it is coming up the bank light engine to Tenterden from Rolvenden to pick up the coaches for today's service. I've also posted several of these shots too as I'm waiting at the Crossing Keeper's Hut at the Cranbrook Road Crossing. I like the perspective and all the detail you get through zooming in on the engine in the distance.

A good day at the hut! It is an 8 hour shift with 5 service trains each way and 2 light engine moves each way at the beginning and end of the day with a lot of time inbetween for other things; like reading the paper, doing some revision, sorting out my notes and rule book, a spot of reading (Pratchett's Unseen Academicals) a few cups of coffee and tea, some regular snacking, a bit of houskeeping and several visits to the tree as there are no facilities here!

It's a lovely place to be, only marred by the adjacent Cranbrook Road which some people treat as a bit of a racetrack but today everyone was friendly. The view from the hut is almost perfect, especially on a sunny day like today. I thought I'd posted a shot of the view but it seems not, so next time I'm there and the weather is good, I will.
