At the end of the ramp
Ok I know I used a filter. It was just so flat.........
Tonight is a relatively quick one as I have chorus rehearsal and have to make my dad dinner. Blueberry pancakes, his favorite.
We are working our way through the frozen strawberries and blueberries from last summer. I had about 20 quarts of strawberries, we are down to 6 and 12 of wild blueberries down to one.
That to me is a sure sign of spring.
In much the same way as I made 40 gallons of violet liqueur. I went whole hog on fresh fruit last year.
I can't wait for this summer. I think I have the formula down perfect.
This is the hardest part of the year for me. Too cold to work in the garden ........are we safe from frost? But everything looks awful and it so needs tending. Tulips are starting to come up. I am sure if I raked the beds I would see more.
And I have 24 empty egg cartons on top of my kitchen cabinets. We recycle everything here. Since we pay for trash bags, I am like the trash bag police. Can it go into the compost? How about in the recycling bin? Only then and after extreme inspection can we throw something away. I have held off on the egg cartons. Usually I bring them to the farmers markets. I keep forgetting to do that. So there they sit. At least 24 maybe more.
I also have a huge bag of eggshells. Seriously huge. I am going to crush them and put them in my garden. I hate snails. Hate them. The only thing I hate worse? Slugs. They are disgusting. I am going to coat the garden with shells. That should stop them . So send me your empty clean egg shells if you want. Diatomaceous earth only goes so far.
I really feel as if I should be wearing a tall black pointed hat and cackling when I say that.
Tonight, Mars, the moon and the earth are all lined up I heard. And where is Venus? Like any good woman she is hopefully off to the spa or on vacation.
This is one of those nights that prompt dancing naked under the moon.
Or maybe not........
Ok I have ruminated enough. Sleep well or have a great day! You choose!
