Okay so we did a lot of site-seeing on Friday and there are a lot of photos I could have chosen, but I went for this one out of shear hilarity. This is maybe the third or fourth Asian couple I've seen having their wedding photos taken around Milan. Normally its in front of the Duomo (and crowds of tourists) but this was a bit more private out under the Arco della Pace.
Anyway that was later in the day, first stop was Piazza del Duomo and a brunch of panzerotti Luini's which went down very well. Went for a wander around the Duomo, Vittorio Emmanuelle, La Scala etc before sitting and having a coffee to take it all in. People watching in the Piazza del Duomo is exceptional. Then we headed down towards the castle and walked through Sempione where we witnessed this under the Arco della Pace. Its unfortunately not as nice a setting as you would hope, as the wall directly behind the couple has a fair amount of graffiti on it... Anyway then we headed back towards the Duomo for gelato at Cioccolati Italiani, which has to be my favourite gelataria. Maybe something to do with the fact that they smother everything in chocolate... In the evening we went for aperitivi on Navigli before heading to a flat party with some friends. Met quite a few new people as well, including two guys from Edinburgh who went to school with a couple of my uni friends. Its such a small world sometimes!
