The Hanging Bridges of Arenal

After starting our Costa Rica tour in the country's capital, San José, and continuing it on the Caribbean coast in Tortuguero National Park, the next stage of the trip took us into the Central Highlands. There we visited the Arenal Volcano National Park and the astonishing Hanging Bridges through the rainforest.

A series of trails lead through the forest and across suspension bridges, sometimes above and sometimes through the canopy of trees and other vegetation. A truly wonderful experience!
