Yellow
14.0C with bright spells. Breezy.
Maeve the Deerhound and I had our walk after lunchtime. It was much brighter than of late so we went up to the church and then down the field with the bridle path to the shore. The tide was coming in but there were still lots of rocks visible. There were several dog walkers to be seen along the length of the beach. We even saw some small children with buckets and spades on the beach.
On the way back home I saw the bottom half of the field next to Westhaven Road was beginning to show the yellow flowers of Oil Seed Rape. Much more Springlike.
This afternoon I cleared and dug over the veg bed that will have the maincrop potatoes this year and spread all the compost from one of my bins over the surface. It should be ready for planting in a few days.
