Waterfalls

This is the latest in Cat's waterfalls series of paintings - she tells me (in my ignorance) that moving water is to landscape art what horses are to portraiture. I want to say "neigh" but think better of it.
As ever I've seen this build up slowly. It started out with the general shape, but for a long while didn't look anything like this. The application of new layers and the revelation of old is a slow and steadily miraculous transformation of canvas into art.
As we now enter Spring and hopefully another wonderful Summer, Cat tells me she's going to do a series of snowscapes now - these creative types.
