There's a baby in there
Another busy day. In the morning I attended my U3A discussion group when we discussed a paper produced by one of our members on his vision for UK. General principles like fairness, tolerance, compassion were agreed on but when we got to "a secular republic within the EU" we had 3 contentious words - I doubt a consensus will be reached anytime soon.
Mr C picked me up from the meeting and we drove to the city to mind the grandchildren for a few hours. As I write this, Ella is napping and Nathaniel, now 3 months, is happy wriggling on his play mat "chatting". I can handle this kind of babysitting! But if all goes well for her this time, our other daughter will have her second baby in the autumn - making us grandparents for the fourth time in under 3 years. When daughters have careers and leave it a bit late they don't waste time when they start. However we feel we are getting a bit long in the tooth for so much excitement not to mention the running, jumping and crawling around entailed in looking after little ones - My knees still haven't recovered from skiing!
