Island View

Our first glimpse of a Caribbean Island! No idea which one but it doesn't matter. It's just a pity that we're stranded in Miami tonight. There was a problem with the plane which meant we sat on the Tarmac at Heathrow for 3 hours before we finally got moving. Think that's the first time I've heard the passengers applauding at take-off. So even though we had a 4 hour connection time in Miami it wasn't enough. In fact it took us 90 minutes to clear passport control & customs before even thinking about finding the next gate. Luckily the baggage handlers dumped our bags onto the carousel, despite them having big orange tags telling them not to because they were 'transit', so we can change tomorrow. The other passengers will be happy about that.

Tip of the day: don't watch All is Lost if you're about to spend a week on a sailing boat. What was I thinking? Crap end by the way...
