Ribbit!

Came across this wee toad today all on her lonesome; all the other toads on the path were pretty tight couples. Or rather couplings. In broad daylight too; like animals they were, animals!

So that was on a mini tour of bird hides at the Insh marshes. There were toads, ponies, dogs, tourists ... but darn few birds! Even the Loch Insh ospreys hadn't arrived yet. Three days late, leaves on the line somewhere in Africa no doubt.
