Nod to Shakespeare

When daffodils begin to peer,
With heigh! the doxy over the dale,
Why, then comes in the sweet o' the year;
For the red blood reigns in the winter's pale.
The Winter's Tale (4.3.1-4)

I'm not good at Shakespeare,but I knew there was something about daffodils somewhere :)

This solitary daffodil has gone on and on throughout the dreich weather of the season without dying down and its such a beautiful, bright flower (the same daffodil as this one :)

Busy morning at church, then I've slonked and dozed all afternoon...now I must do a few Sunday chores before roasted vegetables, sausage and potato hotpot :)

Happy Sunday folks :)
