Holy Abbot

I am writing a day's late because Internet connection is a problem in this village. I must go to the school to be able to get online.
So, yesterday early morning, the family I am staying with took me to a country monastery. According to the Buddhist precepts, my new car needs to be blessed.

There is a temple in the village I am staying in. But we drove on a use road across the paddy fields to reach a country monastery, where the abbot is a well-known figure in this area.
This is the holy man, sitting in the Buddhist fashion, right after the ceremony of feeding the monks. The monastery is in the middle of the countryside in a small forest. This monk is the monastery abbot. He is 83 years old but I found out he is full of humor and asked a lot of questions.
Anyway, I really thought that this scene was worth a Blip.
