Isan boy with his bike

Today, I left Bangkok very early in the morning. I drove my new car all the way up to the northeastern part of Thailand (Isan). It is a long drive of about 650km.
Isan is a large, agricultural region of the kingdom bordering the Mekong River and Laos on its north and east parts. It has its own culture and its own language (close to Laotian).
I am staying in a small village between Udon Thani and Sakhon Nakon. Internet & mobile relays do not function properly here.
Anyway, in the evening this young boy came for a visit with his mountain bike in the country stilt house, where I am staying. So, today my Blip is just his portrait.
