Identity Crisis

My Christmas cactus is going through an identity crisis and I think I may have to call in professional help for it. It flowered as usual at Christmas but then I noticed a couple of weeks ago that it was forming new buds. And, sure enough, it has now developed more beautiful flowers and is turning into an Easter cactus. Is anybody else's cactus facing the same crisis?
