The RARE Puppet Show

RARE
With sustainability and recycling being the heart and foundation of Bellingham, the second annual Recycled Art and Resource Expo (RARE) is finally here. RARE is a two-day festival that celebrates creative reuse in the arts and other industries. The event will take place on April 4, 5, & 6 around downtown Bellingham. The Expo will consist of green art, science, and design alternatives with a big focus on artists and their diverse works, educational workshops, exhibits, speakers, performances, and an expo hall full of business and artist booths with creative green goods and ideas.

There's a lot going on in Bellingham this weekend -- in addition to the ceremonial opening of the Farmers' Market 22nd season.

This puppet show, written and performed by Eberhard Eichner and Rebeca Brabnec, was one of the RARE events. The puppets were all made with recycled materials from the ReStore, where Eberhard is the lead designer/builder. He creates unique furniture, and shares his skills at Saturday workshops.
