A Few Planks Short...
Went to see a couple of friends who I hadn't seen for years - well it seems that way at least - weather forecast for Sunday a total wash-out with lashings of juicy raindrops all day, and so, as you do, took tripod and wellington boots for a shot around midnight (where's that??) for my Bip.
By the time I was crossing these Watermeadows, it was spitting mizzle and either my specs were not seeable out of, or the camera viewfinder, or both. The next shot was tried after the lens front element had been cleaned but that just came out smeary and really rather badly.... And it was really quite dark - could barely see this "bridge"!
Tons of shadow extraction, again, and the thick misty low cloud just made it all very orange, as streetlamps just bounced off it, like a lighting soft-box.
With so very few colour tones to play with - essentially just red and yellow, getting quarter decent in black and white was next to impossible. Colour, even worse. After some effort, I came up with this. Not too bad, considering!
Many and Huge thanks for hoisting my Star Trail Blip of yesterday well up into the Spotlights, as high as second position, which ain't half bad!
Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm
