Froth and Foolishness
Chantler63's Shakespeare Challenge for April - Froth - a foolish gentleman in ‘Measure for Measure’
April is a busy month, with birthdays for my sister, niece and great-niece (plus a 2nd great-niece in May), not to mention Easter. It didn't help this morning when Mum realised that she had forgotten them, having ignored all her iPad calendar alarms, meaning an emergency trip to the supermarket for cards, money and stamps. We still missed the last post, so her cards and gifts will be late!
Grabbing some sandwiches we headed home via Hall Place, a Tudor house and gardens. The River Cray runs though the grounds, passing over a weir. Today the water was higher than I have ever seen it after the recent wet weather, and it was roaring over the weir in a frothy torrent. Visitors were warned to keep away from the river banks, which were weakened by the high water, but we were amazed at the number of foolish parents ignoring this and letting their children play there.
So there you are: froth and foolish for today's challenge!
