Design for Life
The Design Museum has the most amazing exhibitions at the moment. The first, getting inside the mind of Paul Smith, designer and what motivates design. The second, Design of the Year, with the most extra-ordinarily inspiring designs, including a floating school for flooded areas of the far east, a safety campaign with the title Dumb Ways to Die, wheelchairs that make their users say "all my birthdays have come all at once", chairs for schoolchildren that actually improve their learning, mobile phones that use relational principles, and so much more. Quite an experience and so much to learn from people who aim to enhance life through design.
This image is from a wall of buttons from the Paul Smith exhibition. How on earth can you choose only one image from so many memorable moments.
And that doesn't include Shad Thames, the Shard, Jamaica Road and Borough Market. Wow!
