New Year's Eve

We can wave goodbye to the 2013/14 tax year tonight, and then start all over again tomorrow. 20 years ago I would've been running around getting things signed today - Wife's Earnings Elections, BES claims, loss relief claims; it's more straightforward these days now that everything is automated, including the staff at HMRC!

I bought a new lens on Amazon - they sent the wrong one and it has been a real saga trying to get it sorted. In fact it still isn't, but meanwhile I bought one from somewhere else and this was taken with it. It's supposed to be a versatile lens, to save me constantly swapping lenses and getting gunk all over the sensor. Lizzie posed indulgently then went off to growl at a lurcher who foolishly went in for a sniff. How very dare he.
