The miracle of the juniper bushes.

Against all the odds it would appear that not all the trees in my Woodland Trust order have died. I've planted some outside and it didn't take long for the rabbits to find them. Since then I've stepped up security.

Enjoyed a visit to the Sanday pool this afternoon. It's only a peedie pool but there were only three swimmers today so there was plenty of room for all. Did my mile. Even went for a sprint finish at the end, though the lifeguard on duty did mention that my stroke "went to shit" at that point so I think that might still need some work.

Went shopping without supervision so of course came home with lots of stuff that wasn't on the list. Not that 'she who must be obeyed' objected to all the chocolate.

It must have been a good day indeed 'cos HSV won a match. That doesn't happen very often. They are the only team to have featured in every Bundesliga season. There is a big clock in the stadium that advertises the fact. In recent seasons, their position has often been so perilous that I keep expecting to see the clock on ebay!
