He's back!

Look who we spotted strutting around the patio this afternoon. By the time I grabbed a camera, he was strolling through the shrubbery. He's a handsome bird, but we're wary of his whereabouts since an incident last summer, when he attacked his own reflection in the shiny front wing of a road test car on the driveway. Peugeot might not have been amused if their RCZ had gone back with peck-marks penetrating the paintwork, but happily we rushed out and shooed him away before that happened.

We're only 14 miles from Trafalgar Square, so it's hardly deep in a rural area here, although the nearby nature reserve may encourage the wildlife to believe it is. No sign of our badgers yet this year though. Do hope Snowy the albino made it through that long wet winter.
