River Walks

Hi Tom

I think we are blessed with where we live......apart from when we are at risk from the flooding! It's truly perfection. Right now I can hear the birds in the trees, I look out of the kitchen window and I see ducks and geese swimming about. We have the most beautiful blossom out on the trees which colour the garden. I can go through the gate walk the dogs along the river and watch them play happily. I have no neighbours, that close, that they can see and hear everything we do. I have space around me and I love the peace and quiet of it all.

What's brought all this on...I've had coffee with my friend who lived somewhere just like me. It's all been taken away. It just made me realise how lucky I am. Sometimes I take things for granted and I shouldn't.

Maisie and Oscar enjoyed their walk along the river. Maisie just can't resist a dip...Oscar can! He won't even put a paw in the water. Maisie doesn't like to swim too much, she prefers her feet on the ground. The worst bit is when she has a good old shake....we all get a bit of it.

Had a lovely week so far. Lots of fitness work been done. I've even been on two four mile runs with dad. I've been swimming, Zumba and quite a few boot sessions. I've also done quite a bit of socialising.

Tonight it's my last teaching for this term, tomorrow it's my last Saturday teaching forever. I can't wait to have my weekends back. Like I've said before I'll miss the children so very much, but my time with family is very precious too.

On Sunday I have my very first muddy obstacle race to do. I'm nervous but excited. I guess that's Sundays blip sorted!
